Reports to: Director

Type: Work from Home

Work timing: Flexible

Performance Based Pay:

Pay will be performance based. Competitive performance based pay. Fixed monthly stipend amount would not be paid. Internship Completion Certificate will be issued only to those who generate revenue.

### Role Overview

Are you a budding developer who loves seeing their code turn into sales? We are looking for an eCommerce Web Development Intern to assist us in developing, maintaining and enhancing our digital storefront. This is a hands-on role where you will learn how a modern online business operates—from the “Add to Cart” button to the final checkout confirmation.

### What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Frontend Tweaks: Assist in updating product pages, banners, and promotional landing pages using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.

  • Platform Management: Help manage the backend of our [Shopify/WooCommerce/Magento] store, including uploading products and configuring plugins.

  • Quality Assurance (QA): Perform rigorous testing across mobile and desktop devices to ensure new features don’t break the user experience.

  • Performance Monitoring: Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to identify slow-loading images or scripts and suggest fixes.

  • Bug Squashing: Work to identify, document, and resolve minor CSS/JS bugs.

  • Data Integration: Assist in syncing product catalogs and inventory data between our website and social media channels (Instagram/TikTok Shop).

### Technical Skill Requirements

  • Core Web Skills: Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript.

  • Responsive Design: Knowledge of how to make websites look good on a smartphone versus a desktop (Flexbox, CSS Grid).

  • Platform Curiosity: A desire to learn eCommerce platforms (Liquid for Shopify, PHP for WordPress, etc.).

  • Version Control: Basic familiarity with Git/GitHub (how to pull, commit, and push code).

  • Design Tools: Ability to export assets from Figma, Canva, or Photoshop.

  • Eagerness to Learn: You don’t need to know everything, but you must be willing to look up documentation and ask questions.

  • Detail-Oriented: You notice when a button is 2px off-center or a link is broken.
