Job Objective<\/p>\n

The PYP Coordinator is the pedagogical leader responsible for the design, implementation, and<\/p>\n

continuous improvement of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). The role ensures<\/p>\n

that teaching and learning across the Primary Years reflect the IB philosophy, meet the IB<\/p>\n

Programme Standards and Practices (PSPs),Reporting to the Head \u2013 Primary, this role drives inquiry-based learning, fosters collaborative<\/p>\n

planning, and ensures alignment with our mission, vision, and definition of high-quality<\/p>\n

learning. The PYPC drives curriculum coherence, faculty development, supports student<\/p>\n

learning, and ensures compliance across the PYP.<\/p>\n

Primary Responsibilities? Curriculum and Programme Leadershipo Lead the design, documentation and review of Programme of Inquiry (POI) and unit<\/p>\n

planners aligned with IB PYP framework and our standards.<\/p>\n

o Ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum coherence across grades, facilitating<\/p>\n

smooth transition to Middle School; liaise with Head \u2013 Secondary and other<\/p>\n

secondary coordinators, as need be<\/p>\n

o Strengthen collaboration with Instructional Coaches and Student Support Services<\/p>\n

Team for a holistic PYP programme with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and SEL<\/p>\n

(Social and Emotional Learning) integration.<\/p>\n

o Embed IB approaches to Learning (ATL), IB Learner Profile, and transdisciplinary<\/p>\n

learning.<\/p>\n

o Support teachers in integrating PYP subject continuums into transdisciplinary units.<\/p>\n

? IB Standards, Practices and Complianceo Stay updated on IB developments and global best practices.<\/p>\n

o Ensure complete alignment of the PYP with the IB Programme Standards<\/p>\n

and Practices.<\/p>\n

o Lead policy reviews (Assessment, Language, Inclusion, Academic Integrity) in line<\/p>\n

with IB requirements.<\/p>\n

o Prepare, coordinate and lead IB authorization, evaluation, and self-study processes<\/p>\n

for the PYP.<\/p>\n

o Act as primary liaison with IB for communication and compliance.<\/p>\n

o Provide targeted professional learning on IB pedagogy, philosophy, and updates.<\/p>\n

? Faculty Development and Instructional Leadershipo Facilitate collaborative planning and mentor teachers in inquiry-based pedagogy.o Liaise with Student Support Services Team to ensure an inclusive and holistic PYP.<\/p>\n

o Lead professional learning sessions on inquiry-based, concept-driven instruction and<\/p>\n

transdisciplinary teaching.<\/p>\n

o Provide teacher appraisal through observations and constructive feedback.<\/p>\n

o Support teachers in leveraging digital tools and AI for personalized learning.<\/p>\n

? Assessment and Reportingo Ensure assessment practices (formative, summative, self\/ reflection) reflect the IB<\/p>\n

philosophy and our standards.<\/p>\n

o Guide teachers in using data use for differentiation, personalised learning and<\/p>\n

reporting.<\/p>\n

o Oversee moderation for consistency and reliability in reporting.<\/p>\n

o Monitor student progress and share insights with Head \u2013 Primary for improvement<\/p>\n

planning.<\/p>\n

? Parent and Community Engagement<\/p>\n

o Conduct parent workshops on inquiry-based learning, assessment, and PYP<\/p>\n

philosophy.o Lead PYP Exhibition and other community learning events.<\/p>\n

o Communicate programme updates and student progress clearly and regularly.<\/p>\n

? Programme Operationso Coordinate schedules, planning calendars, and PY programme timelines.<\/p>\n

o Adhere to budget allocations for PYP and recommend academic resources and tools<\/p>\n

required for effective PYP implementation.<\/p>\n

o Ensure documentation, IB compliance workflows, and readiness for evaluations.<\/p>\n

o Liaise with Administrative teams for logistics and smooth functioning of daily<\/p>\n

operations.<\/p>\n

o Maintain programme records, planning archives, meeting minutes, and evaluation<\/p>\n

documentation as per IB expectations.<\/p>\n

Experience<\/p>\n
