Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n

The purpose of the Product MDM Data Specialist role is to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product-related master data within Customer\u2019s enterprise systems, primarily SAP. This role serves as a key steward for the product master domain, supporting the creation, maintenance, and governance of material records that are critical to commercial, operational, and supply chain processes.<\/p>\n

The Data Specialist will contribute to business continuity and efficiency by enforcing data standards, resolving data issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Customer Care, Field Service, and IT. The role is instrumental in enabling timely product launches, accurate pricing and availability, and seamless order fulfillment.<\/p>\n

In addition, this role plays a key part in Customer\u2019s broader Master Data Management (MDM) strategy by supporting governance frameworks, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives that ensure scalable, high-quality data operations across the product lifecycle.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Data Quality Management: Contribute to ongoing cleansing and maintenance of product and pricing data by driving data entry standards for formatting, completeness, and accuracy for attributes within the product master and related domains.<\/li>\n
  2. Data Governance: Support developing and enforcing data governance policies and standards to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory (where applicable) requirements.<\/li>\n
  3. Change Management: Support changes to master data (creates, updates) while ensuring adherence to MDM governance.<\/li>\n
  4. Metadata Management Support: Support maintaining and managing metadata, including definitions, data lineage, and data ownership, while promoting greater understanding of the importance of MDM governance.<\/li>\n
  5. Training and Support: Identify and log systemic gaps for resolution. Provide training and support to other team employees regarding data management tools, processes, and best practices while fostering a culture of responsibility in data stewardship.<\/li>\n
  6. Issue Resolution Support: Provide issue resolution support for data-related issues and facilitate the resolution of discrepancies related to master data.<\/li>\n
  7. Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor master data for quality issues while generating reports to inform key stakeholders about data quality metrics.<\/li>\n
  8. Continuous Improvement: Consistently look for opportunities to improve master data management processes and contribute to ongoing MDM initiatives that enhance data governance policies.<\/li>\n
  9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide day-to-day support to cross-functional internal and external customers as related to master data, which includes product master data and other domains.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Basic Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. B.E\/ B.Tech.\/ BS\/ MS degree from an accredited institution<\/li>\n
    2. Minimum of 8+ years in a data management related field<\/li>\n
    3. Minimum of 8+ years of experience with SAP in material master<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      9. Candidates with hands on experience in Salesforce, CPQ would be preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
