Cardiac Cath Rad Tec performs a variety of technical tasks involved in operating radiographic\/x-ray equipment and making radiographs of designated parts of the body. Assists in all invasive procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab and\/or Special Procedures\/Electrophysiology lab. The staff in this position will work as part of a team with physician, registered nurses, and cardiovascular technicians. Hours of Operation: 7A-3:30P<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n

1. Demonstrates responsibility for x-ray equipment and image quality in all diagnostic and interventional procedures.<\/p>\n

2. Adjusts equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.<\/p>\n

3. Positions patients for certain anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.<\/p>\n

4. Accurately processes images, matched with appropriate labels and information for interpretation.<\/p>\n

5. Daily responsibility for checking that all procedures were properly transmitted and archived.<\/p>\n

6. Functions as a scrub person and a procedure table panner in all diagnostic and interventional procedures<\/p>\n

7. Functions as a monitor person in all diagnostic and interventional procedures.<\/p>\n

8. Rotates calls for all emergency and add-on procedures.<\/p>\n

9. Demonstrates understanding of radiation safety and sterile techniques.<\/p>\n

Other Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

1. Adheres to downtime procedures.<\/p>\n

2. Adheres to established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.<\/p>\n

3. Performs both essential and non-essential job functions in a safe manner as identified by CFMC.<\/p>\n

4. Demonstrates an understanding of and models the mission and core values of CFMC through behavior and attitude.<\/p>\n

5. Enhances professional growth and development by accessing educational programs, job related literature, in-service meetings, and workshops\/seminars.<\/p>\n

6. Performs other related duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
