Job Description: Finance Head for Business UnitReports To: Chief Financial Officer, Group (Functional) & Head of Business, New<\/p>\n

Business Unit (Operational)<\/p>\n

Location: Manila, Philippines<\/p>\n

Role Type: Full-Time, Senior Manager<\/p>\n

About the Role<\/p>\n

Our Group is expanding fast in this region and is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Finance<\/p>\n

Associate Director of experience and expertise to lead the New Business Unit into our global\u00a0ecosystem.<\/p>\n

This is not a traditional “keep the lights on” accounting role. You are stepping into a<\/p>\n

high-growth, with expected skill sets to include having an entrepreneurial mindset, the<\/p>\n

financial and commercial acquisition integration and support and lead client business meetings.<\/p>\n

Your immediate mandate is to professionalize business\u2014transitioning it to institutional financial<\/p>\n

standards and rigorous regulatory compliance\u2014while simultaneously acting as a strategic<\/p>\n

commercial partner to scale the business aggressively.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n

  1. Post-Merger Integration & Financial Control\n

    ? Accrual Transition: Lead the immediate transition from legacy cash-based accounting<\/p>\n

    to full accrual accounting, specifically implementing the Service Completion Method<\/p>\n

    (PFRS 15) for revenue recognition.<\/p>\n

    ? Systems Overhaul: Upgrade and recast the current Management Information Systems<\/p>\n

    (MIS) to align with our Group\u2019s institutional reporting standards.<\/p>\n

    ? Working Capital & Cash Management: Establish rigorous corporate controls over bank<\/p>\n

    mandates, treasury, and working capital, ensuring zero leakage and optimized cash flow.<\/p>\n

    ? Earnout Management: Meticulously track and report on “Adjusted EBITDA” and forensic<\/p>\n

    add-backs to ensure the SSPA (Share Sale and Purchase Agreement) earnout mechanics<\/p>\n

    are executed flawlessly.<\/li>\n

  2. Regulatory Compliance & Tax Strategy\n

    ? Cross-Border Tax & Transfer Pricing: Oversee withholding tax provisions (FWT\/VAT) for<\/p>\n

    foreign vendor payments and ensure compliance with arm\u2019s-length Transfer Pricing (TP)<\/p>\n

    agreements between New Business Unit and our US\/UAE entities.<\/p>\n

    ? Audit & Statutory Leadership: Serve as the primary liaison for our newly appointed “Big<\/p>\n

    Four” external auditors, the SEC, and the BIR, ensuring historical and future tax clearances<\/p>\n

    are bulletproof.<\/li>\n

  3. Commercial Finance & Business Development\n

    ? Start-Up Mentality: Act as the commercial co-pilot to the business head. Bring a<\/p>\n

    “roll-up-your-sleeves” energy to identify revenue synergies, optimize pricing strategies,<\/p>\n

    and model new market launches.<\/p>\n

    ? Margin Optimization: Develop dashboards to track unit economics, operational<\/p>\n

    expenditure (OpEx) caps, and marketing ROI.<\/p>\n

    ? Growth Modeling: Support the launch of cross-selling initiatives (e.g., NCLEX prep,<\/p>\n

    TrueProfile.io) by building agile, data-driven financial models to test new business lines.<\/p>\n

    Candidate Profile & Qualifications<\/p>\n

    The Non-Negotiables:<\/p>\n

    ? Education\/Certification: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines.<\/p>\n

    ? Experience: 4-8 years of progressive finance experience. Must have a strong foundation<\/p>\n

    in audit or corporate finance (Big Four experience is highly preferred).<\/p>\n

    ? Technical Chops: Deep, practical expertise in PFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with<\/p>\n

    Customers) and cross-border tax compliance.<\/p>\n

    ? The “Clean-Up” Experience: You have previously stepped into a founder-led, SME, or<\/p>\n

    loosely structured environment and successfully implemented enterprise-grade ERPs,<\/p>\n

    controls, and compliance frameworks.<\/p>\n

    ? Commercial Agility: You don’t just report the numbers; you use them to drive business<\/p>\n

    development. You are comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous “startup” environment<\/p>\n

    where you have to build the plane while flying it.<\/p>\n

    ? M&A Exposure: Previous experience in post-merger integration (PMI), earnout tracking,<\/p>\n

    or managing the financial transition of an acquired entity.<\/p>\n

    ? Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex local compliance issues (SEC,<\/p>\n

    BIR, PEZA) to global stakeholders (Dubai headquarters).<\/p>\n
