Aerospace Quality Engineer \/ CMM Programmer (Camio)<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/p>\n

The Aerospace Quality Engineer \/ CMM Programmer is responsible for ensuring product<\/p>\n

quality and compliance with aerospace standards through inspection planning, CMM<\/p>\n

programming, and first article validation. This role plays a critical part in supporting<\/p>\n

production, engineering, and customer requirements by applying strong knowledge of<\/p>\n

GD&T, AS9102, and precision measurement techniques.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n

\u2022 Develop, program, and optimize CMM inspection routines using Camio software<\/p>\n

\u2022 Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications with a strong<\/p>\n

understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Perform and oversee First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102<\/p>\n

requirements<\/p>\n

\u2022 Generate, review, and maintain FAI packages, including ballooned drawings and<\/p>\n

inspection reports<\/p>\n

\u2022 Create and maintain detailed inspection plans and quality documentation<\/p>\n

\u2022 Analyze inspection data and provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing<\/p>\n

teams<\/p>\n

\u2022 Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming products<\/p>\n

\u2022 Collaborate with manufacturing and design teams to improve product quality and<\/p>\n

manufacturability<\/p>\n

\u2022 Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards<\/p>\n

(AS9100, NADCAP where applicable)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Maintain calibration awareness and proper use of inspection equipment<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assist with internal and external audits as required<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or equivalent experience<\/p>\n

\u2022 3+ years of experience in aerospace quality or inspection role<\/p>\n

\u2022 Hands-on experience programming CMMs using Camio<\/p>\n

\u2022 Strong proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Solid understanding of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience with inspection tools (CMM, height gages, calipers, micrometers, etc.)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace drawings and CAD models<\/p>\n

\u2022 Familiarity with ERP\/MRP systems and quality documentation systems<\/p>\n

Preferred Qualifications<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments<\/p>\n

\u2022 Knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, CATIA)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus<\/p>\n
