We operate a full-service warehouse and distribution center supplying goods<\/p>\n<p>and services to the convenience store industry.<\/p>\n<p>Primary Responsibility:<\/p>\n<p>The Business Development Representative position is our face in the field.<\/p>\n<p>This role will be responsible for retail sales volume growth through purposeful upselling with our current<\/p>\n<p>members and the execution of our Distribution strategies &amp; priorities across a designated<\/p>\n<p>geographic territory of Convenience Store (C-Store) accounts. The BDR also acts as the liaison between<\/p>\n<p>members and vendors on all account-related problems and opportunities. This position is field-based<\/p>\n<p>and reports to our Director of Sales.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>? Actively seek to sign up new business accounts for our products and services.<\/p>\n<p>? Travel to assigned list of C-Stores to identify, develop and close sales opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>? Identify and execute sales opportunities at unassigned independent C-Stores.<\/p>\n<p>? Develop a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of our products &amp; services and articulate it to all levels of<\/p>\n<p>decision-making authorities at targeted accounts.<\/p>\n<p>? Work to achieve maximum sales profitability &amp; revenue growth from every account visit.? Maintain activity log and updates of findings during each account visit.<\/p>\n<p>? Measure and evaluate specific territory business (trends, gaps\/opportunities, what\u2019s working\/not working)? Provide solutions where gaps exist and execute these solutions accordingly. Own and lead your territory story.<\/p>\n<p>? Perform other duties as required.<\/p>\n<p>Job Skills<\/p>\n<p>? College degree or equivalent related work experience<\/p>\n<p>? 2 or more years of C-Store \/ DSD \/CPG sales experience desired<\/p>\n<p>? Minimum 1-3 years of account management preferred<\/p>\n<p>? Excellent communication, customer service and negotiation skills<\/p>\n<p>? Must demonstrate high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills, particularly with members and vendors<\/p>\n<p>? Effective time-management &amp; scheduling skills, with ability to work independently across a large market<\/p>\n<p>? Ability to handle various tasks concurrently and be detail-oriented in the process<\/p>\n<p>? Highly motivated, self-starter<\/p>\n<p>? Enthusiastic, team-oriented mentality<\/p>\n<p>? Intermediate skills required in Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word and Outlook)<\/p>\n<p>? Good driving record with valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n<p>Physical Requirements \/ Working Conditions:<\/p>\n<p>? 10-12 store visits each day within assigned territory<\/p>\n<p>? Most days will have prolonged walking\/standing?
